Salesforce announced Arcturious as the winner of the 2022 Global Partner Innovations Award in the Connected Ecosystem category for the exceptional outcomes delivered by the transformative multi-cloud Salesforce program for Sustainable Salons.

This marked a significant and record-breaking milestone for Arcturious as the only Partner Innovation Award recipient to have been operating for less than two years among this year's winners. Excellence in delivering a complex multi-cloud Salesforce implementation
“Multi-cloud” references a Salesforce implementation that includes more than one Salesforce product. Arcturious’ winning Salesforce implementation combined a total of 12 Salesforce products, three AppExchange products and two payment gateway providers across three legal entities. Excellence in demonstrating an innovative approach to technology strategy
Arcturious supported Sustainable Salons to transform its business by crafting a technology strategy centred around the Salesforce platform. The strategy intentionally brought together the best of the Salesforce platform and its ecosystem. Adopting a phased approach to the transformation, each phase released incremental value by adopting more Salesforce clouds.
Phase 1 - Sales Process Remediation, DocuSign and Service Cloud
Phase 2 - Field Service, Marketing, SMS, and Experience Cloud
Phase 3 - The Hub Mobile App: Experience Cloud and Mobile Publisher
Phase 4 - Revenue Ops using Configure Price Quote and Salesforce Billing
Arcturious’ innovative approach is based on four pillars; Strategy, Empathy, Technology and Curiosity. This approach allowed Arcturious to guide Sustainable Salons in identifying the most significant business improvement opportunities. Their human-centred approach gave everyone a voice - from across the business.
Harnessing the use of curiosity as a licence, the status quo was challenged, allowing the reconstruction of galvanised processes built on outdated ways of working.
Each phase made way for best practice solutions and fit-for-purpose processes. While the previous four phases have been a success, Sustainable Salons, with the help of Arcturious, continue to drive forward by pushing their boundaries and innovating on new business models and technology.

Salesforce partners such as Arcturious are part of the growing Salesforce economy, which according to a study by IDC, is projected to produce 9.3 million new jobs and $1.6 trillion in new business revenue by 2026. The study finds that Salesforce is driving massive gains for its partner ecosystem, which will see $6.19 in gains for every $1 Salesforce makes by 2026. Salesforce has also found that over 90% of its customers use partner apps and experts.

About Sustainable Salons
Founded in 2015, Sustainable Salons (SSANZ) is Australia and New Zealand’s most comprehensive hybrid recycling and consumer goods company with a network of collectors, recyclers, manufacturers, and distributors that help to divert up to 95% of waste materials from salons away from landfill.
The social enterprise services salons, barber shops, dermal clinics, and pet-grooming salons. Materials are collected from salons regularly or on-demand, depending on each salon’s membership type. On top of all that, SSANZ is the largest directory of Salons in Australia and pushes over 6,000 conscious consumers to Sustainable Salons Members every month, and runs both an extensive rewards program (including the rewards store) and an e-commerce store for its Refoil Brand.
From there, materials are delivered to one of several depots where they are processed and turned into usable items both in-house and via partnerships. For example, hair clippings are turned into hair booms used to clean up oil spills protecting our oceans, and plastics from shampoo bottles are turned into dog leash handles, sunglasses and other products. Sustainable Salons is also the largest charitable collector of ponytails, which are used to make medical wigs for those with cancer or alopecia.
It is a complex organisation with many moving parts, and, in the past, activities like member onboarding and managing collections involved a lot of manual work and spreadsheets. For Sustainable Salons to keep growing and evolving, it needed to transform its operations.
